PMDD

Learn more about PMDD, from recognising symptoms to understanding diagnosis and treatment options.

Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). It can cause a range of physical and emotional symptoms in the two weeks before your period starts (luteal phase).

PMDD can be referred to as an endocrine disorder as well as a mental health problem. How you view your symptoms and condition is up to you. What matters most is finding the right treatment and support to help you manage its impact on your life.
