About Bettii

How It All Started

Life can be pretty bloody tough for women.

We know more about space than we do about women’s bodies.

Bettii is here to change that.

I’m Elaine, founder of Bettii. I’ve spent over 20 years working in engineering businesses, turning ideas into reality.

In my 40s, my body started to change. Amidst the confusion of peri-menopause, tampons stopped working for me as my periods became heavier and more erratic. I needed options but quickly realised how little I understood about my own health, body and periods.

So, I started on a voyage of discovery and it wasn’t pretty.

Disposables cause environmental damage, aren’t biodegradable, and many contain toxins that have no place in a vagina. Then I found reusable menstrual cups and discs and they quite literally changed my daily life. But one problem remained: how the hell do you clean them when you’re out?

So, I built a world first. Bettii: a menstrual cup and disc washer installed directly inside toilet cubicles in places like airports, museums, offices, gyms and tourist attractions. Bettii gives women the freedom to leave home knowing they can wash their cup or disc hygienically and privately, without carrying water bottles, wipes or switching back to disposables.

But Bettii is more than a product. She’s a quiet disruptor. Breaking taboos, starting conversations, and pointing women to clear, clinically grounded information about their bodies through our website, socials and Bettii Presents.

Bettii is your no-nonsense best friend, here to help you understand your body and take back control of your health.
